The Summer Program

The summer program is divided into four divisions. Two of our divisions meet at the same
facility each session and the other two divisions play at different facilities. The divisions
are as follows:
Novice Boys Division – This division is designed to introduce juniors who have never
played to the game of golf. We teach basic swing techniques through clinics as well as
etiquette and rules of play. There are two days set up for clinics only and six play days
where the juniors play 5 or 9 holes according to ability. The first three play days are
scrambles and the last three are individual stroke play. We have a parent walking with
each group and there is a maximum score of 10 strokes per hole. The juniors must be 8
to 11 years of age to participate.
Girls Division – This division is designed to introduce girls who have never played or have
played some but are not ready for competitive golf. The girls follow the same schedule
and rules as the Novice Boys Division. The advanced girls play 9 holes and the beginner
girls play 5 holes.
Intermediate Boys Division – This division is designed for boys from 10 to 18 years of age
who have never played or who have played but are not ready for intense competition.
Beginners play 9 holes and advanced players play 18 holes. Advanced players must be
able to score 125 or better and be able to keep an adequate pace of play to qualify. Both
divisions are divided into age groups. The 10-12 age group play the forward tees, 13-14
and 15-up play the intermediate tees. They begin the season with a two day clinic which is
followed by one scramble and five play days of individual stroke play. There is a 10 stroke
maximum score per hole.
Tournament Division – This division is designed for the more advanced golfers who wish
to play competitive golf. The juniors must be able to score under 100 on a regulation
course to qualify. The first two tournaments are used as qualifiers. These juniors must
be 10 to 18. The boys play within age groups (10-12, 13-14, 15-16, and 17-18) as well as
the girls (10-14 and 15-18). Points are awarded to the top ten finishers each week. Points
are used to determine our Team Savannah and Players of the Year.

The cost of our program is $100.00 for the Novice, Girls and Intermediate Divisions and
